A pleasant, bright dining room, tastefully decorated and featuring paintings by local artists, offers a warm and friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy Chef Bruno Ortolé's refined cuisine.
In fine weather, a sunny terrace allows guests to enjoy these different dishes while taking in the tranquility of the village.
To promote short supply chains, the dishes are cooked with high-quality products grown by local producers.
After a traditional aperitif or an island cocktail, discover appetizing, colorful, and beautifully presented dishes accompanied by an extensive wine list.
The restaurant can seat 28 people and the terrace can seat 20.

Exceptional evenings: every summer, escape to the islands! The restaurant and terrace are specially decorated so you can enjoy an entirely Creole meal and dance to the Caribbean rhythms of biguine, mazurka, calypso, and more, performed by the Caribbean jazz orchestra Quartet An Nou.
La Croix Blanche has been listed in Le Petit Futé since 2022 and in the Guide du Routard Bourgogne since 2024!

A word from the chef
Bruno ORTOLÉ: The chef:
Having lived in Villiers Saint-Benoît for several years, I was captivated by this old abandoned post house, overgrown with vegetation. Should I accept the inevitable decline of rural life or try to revive the beautiful village of Villiers Saint-Benoît?
As an engineer with a degree from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, I have always been passionate about cooking. So I took my CAP exam as an independent candidate and completed my training at the CIFA in Yonne. I was then ready to take on the challenge of opening my own restaurant and hotel. La Croix Blanche allows me to combine three things I love: nature, the Puisaye region, and the hotel and restaurant business, a field that has long appealed to me.
Chef Bruno Ortolé is a member of the Amicale des Cuisiniers de l'Yonne (Yonne Cooks' Association).
Yolène ORTOLÉ :
Yolène Ortolé is a former wedding planner with a wealth of experience in the catering trade. She welcomes customers with a smile, professionalism and skill, and provides room service.

Menu and opening times

The restaurant is open:
Friday to Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
and every evening except Tuesday, by reservation, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
